Shroom-gnome's Slimefication
About game
You're a stranded shroom-gnome.
You woke up at an unknown place and you have to recreate your shroomy habitat to survive.
You should be aware that it will attract groups of poisonous slimes and explosive clouds of poison which will try to take over your land!
Protect yourself and your fungi environment.
Pacify the land with your shroom-growing abilities before the slimes take it over.
Plan and optimize your moves, as slimes multiply and grow in strength with each step you take, do it carefully.
How to Play
The Goal
- Survive
- Take over 50% of the land while fighting off slimes and explosive clouds of poison
Enemy Types
Poisonous Slime - Can move by 1 field each turn, spreads poison wherever they go, can be destroyed with shroom-gnome's ability.
Poison Cloud - Spawns on a random neutral field after 2 turns with no Poison Cloud present in game, after 3 turns it explodes and spreads poison in 3x3 radius, immediately killing both slimes and the shroom-gnome. If a slime enters the cloud, it immediately triggers the explosion. If the shroom-gnome uses their ability on the cloud, it spreads their own field-type instead of poison.
You can defeat your enemies by selecting one of the available ability shapes and placing it on top of them!
Mechanics
- Teleport phase - In this phase you have to pick where your shroomy friend will go. You can teleport only on connected conquered land - the available land will shift colors.
- Ability phase - In this phase you can choose which shape you want to cast, shapes are placed on the right side of the UI. There are always 3 of them available, and the chosen shape will be exchanged for a new one after using it.
Remember that ability shapes rotate with your gnome!
- Enemies turn In this phase enemies will make their moves and the game will go back to the first phase.
Summary
- If the opponent touches you, you lose
- If you are in range of the cloud when it explodes, you lose
- Slimes are dangerous
- If you conquer 50% of the map, you win
- If you feel lost, there is important information about the current game state on the left side of the screen
